Kate Nepveu (pronounced "NEHV-you", the "p" is silent) is a reader, fan, and reviewer. She was born in South Korea, grew up in Massachusetts, and now lives in upstate New York. There, she practices law, is raising a family, and (in her copious free time) posts to her booklog (steelypips.org/weblog), Dreamwidth (kate-nepveu) and Tumblr (katenepveu). She founded Con or Bust, which helps fans of color/non-white fans attend SFF cons, and ran it for ten years before stepping down in 2019. For Tor.com, she reread The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, and Naomi Novik's Temeraire series. She's got an overdeveloped sense of responsibility. It's going to get her into trouble someday.
